DISAPPOINTMENT

The MTV Asia Awards 2004 was not up to what I expected this year....really a big disappointment for me.

Just think...last year, the list of celebrities here were much more and better than this year. Jay Chou, Missy Elliot, Avril Lavrigne, Robbie Williams, Atomic Kitten...were here for the 2003 Awards. This year, the list was a lot smaller...Gareth Gates, Blue, Sugababes, TATU, 5566, Simple Plan, Black Eyed Peas and more.

Actually, Linkin Park was the big winner this year...with 2 awards...Best Rock Act n Best Video(Somewhere I Belong)...but they also did not come. Too bad lorz...

Then 5566 did not perform, Blue did not perform....not at all entertaining.

Then the awards...A*Mei won the Taiwan Award....beating Jay Chou...which was really very, very, very, very, very very devestating. Also Evanascence did not win any of the 2 awards they were nominated...Best Breakthorugh Artise, Best rock Act.

The worst part was that the sound system cocked up during a performance...i was really shaking my head man!!

But it was not bad in the end...Gareth Gates, Machi, Sugababes, the thai fellow, Black eyed peas, Simple Plan gave their performances.

...no, I got 2 tickets...I was not alone you know....that person did not want to go to the free standing...we sat in front of the stage...but it was 2 storeys above...it was just like watching TV. I told the person to stand...as the atmosphere sitting down and standing up was totally different (I got standing tickets in 2003)

Aniwae, this is the last time they are holding it in Singapore...not bad larz...2 times i went out of 3...which was the 2002 Awards...dunno where they are going....then when are they coming back o Singapore again.

Boo hoo hoo.....

Shahid and Liyana has left..... but I was happy these two days....

M&M are married!!!

Melvin (my cousin) and Michelle are finally married!!! The marriage at the chruch and Furama Hotel was really grand! I was the cameraman for that night...(only the small Panasonic camera larz...) Then my brother rewind becoz he wanna watch wat I record (walking down the isle)...but then I overwrite it with another video!!!

It was sad as my family were late for the reception. Then that night, since drinks were on the house, I took a glass of red wine...very strong!! After that, I went with Shahid and his sis and their friend to Orchard. The atmosphere was near perfect...except the roads. We went to Starbucks for coffee, then we went to Burger King for supper. (btw, the Burger King was next to the Starbucks. It closes at 3am) Then we saw a birthday celebration outside Starbucks...the girl was splashed with pail after pail of water....then they presented her with the cake...it was 12.30 am...so i think starbucks was closed already....

Tickets are not for sale, so here’s what you can do to land yourself a pair. MTV will be having a series of roadshows over the next two weekends at various shopping centers in Singapore to distribute these exclusive tickets. MTV VJs and Perfect 10 DJs will be on location at the following places:

Suntec (atrium in front of Carrefour)
Jan 31 (Sat) & Feb 1 (Sun)

Heeren (outdoors)
Feb 7 (Sat) & 8 (Sun)

Time : 2-5 pm for all weekends

Tickets given out at roadshows come with exclusive red carpet passes that enable you to catch all your favourite artists up close and personal. So don’t forget to make your way down to the shopping centers to grab those tickets.

(Ya...then there's the mosh pit...but its only for people 18 years and above!!)

If you can’t make it to the roadshows or the mosh pit auditions, there’s no reason to despair, as there are other ways to get tickets. Check out the latest copy of Lime Magazine and keep tuning into Perfect 10, 98.7FM for more chances to win tickets to the show.
